About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and professional Restaurant Manager to oversee and enhance the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring top-tier customer service, staff management, and overall restaurant performance while maintaining a high standard of food quality and service.
Location: Sydney CBD, NSW
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 (depending upon work experience)
Role: Full-time
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the seamless execution of daily restaurant operations, ensuring that service quality, ambiance, and overall guest experience align with the fine-dining standards of The Grand Palace.
- Oversee floor personnel management, manage rosters efficiently, and implement structured training programs to uphold service excellence.
- Cultivate strong relationships with regular patrons and VIP guests while handling reservations and personalised dining experiences. Address guest feedback proactively to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and advertising strategies to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Organise and manage special events, catering functions, and themed dining experiences, ensuring smooth execution and customer delight.
- Monitor budget allocations, control floor costs, minimize wastage, and conduct regular stock audits to maintain cost efficiency.
- Oversee stock levels, order supplies, and implement monthly stocktakes and QC check
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety (WHS) standards, maintaining a safe and legally compliant environment.
- Analyse sales performance, food trends, and customer preferences to provide strategic insights for business growth. Prepare detailed reports for senior management on operational performance and revenue generation.
- Develop and implement marketing and customer retention strategies to attract and retain clientele.
- Address customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally, ensuring an excellent guest experience.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proven experience of 2-3 years in restaurant management
- Minimum qualification of Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Previous restaurant experience in Australia.
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine is essential
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to foster a welcoming dining environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to handle operational challenges effectively.
- Sound knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost control within a restaurant setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
