We currently have an exciting role for you to join our innovative and highly effective Community Engagement Team.
The successful applicant will have an authentic passion for genuine and meaningful community engagement and fostering community participation. They will be able to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with attention to detail and a willingness to contribute in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Providing guidance, hands-on support, and advice to teams planning and implementing community engagement.
- Develop, monitor and enhance engagement projects on our online engagement platform to support effective community participation.
- Create, refine, and advise on materials and tools to facilitate meaningful engagement activities.
- Advocate for community needs and interests by actively listening, gathering feedback, and identifying opportunities to enhance engagement.
- Conduct, attend, and support high-quality engagement activities, including some work outside of usual business hours
The successful applicant will have :
- Extensive experience working in a community engagement or related role.
- Very good practical understanding of effective community engagement techniques and frameworks such as the International Association of Public Participation, spectrum of engagement.
- Demonstrated commitment to and passion for community participation and engagement.
- Experience working with a diverse range of people in a community settings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing online community engagement tools.
- Excellent organisation and be able to develop and manage many internal working relationships to deliver on outcomes.

This is a Level 4 position which has a current salary range of $94,525 - $101,474 (plus Super).
