Description:
DescriptionIf you are driven to make a positive impact on the strategic direction of an organisation, while adding value to the lives of people of all ages and stages across the territory and beyond, this is a rewarding opportunity.
About the Organisation
Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) provides a range of high quality, integrated and inclusive programs and services to individuals, families, children, and young people. CRCS works with community members, local organisations, and businesses to develop responsive programs, services and activities that support self-determination and reduce social isolation. With strong relations with government and other community services, CRCS’s vision is to create an inclusive, connected community.
About the Opportunity
As a member of the CRCS Board, you will have oversight for the strategic direction, financial operations, safety, and major policy issues of the organisation.
The existing members are collaborative, professional, and forward thinking and are seeking individuals who will actively engage, contribute, and uphold similar values.
Board meetings are held monthly, and there are additional engagements ad hoc throughout the year. In terms of time commitment, we would need 4-5 hour per months on average.
About you
If you are a professional with 10+ years’ relatable experience and you’re passionate about seeing the local community thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
We are open to industry expertise; however, we are particularly interested if you have expertise in one or more of the following:
- Financial management and accounting
- Technology, data management, and/or cyber security

- Legal and/or corporate services
- Clinical and/or aged care
Ideally, you are a Graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course or sound experience in a governance role. Previous experience working within a Not-For-Profit in a board or executive capacity would be advantageous.
