Job Description & Summary

The AI Center of Excellence is a team of highly experienced designers, developers, data scientists and analysts who are responsible for delivering digital products and AI solutions to PwC’s business in Australia.
We partner with subject matter experts across the business to advise on, design and develop technology-enabled solutions that help to transform the way we deliver assurance, advisory, tax and legal services to our clients.

The Role:

  • Collaborate with engineers, data-scientists and product owners to enhance and maintain platforms.
  • Develop and maintain build pipelines, release pipelines, and internal tools to uplift developer experience.
  • Provide input to architectural decisions and manage core infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
  • Maintain and manage environments and develop infrastructure-as-code to automate repeatable deployments.
  • Execute proactive maintenance and patching to ensure high availability and compliance.
  • Optimize system performance, autoscaling, and monitoring/alerting systems to detect issues early and improve reliability.
  • Enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging to detect issues early and facilitate rapid response.

About You:

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following key capabilities and behaviours:

  • Advanced proficiency in platform design, engineering, and operations for production workloads.
  • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, containerisation, Linux operating systems, and public cloud hyperscalers.
  • Proficient in Git version control and continuous delivery models.
  • Security-conscious with a strong understanding of patch management, certificate management, encryption, platform security, and cloud network security.
  • Deep experience with a major cloud services platform.
  • In this role you will be working in a highly regulated enterprise environment where you need to collaborate with other remote teams on a daily basis for architecture, operations and compliance. It will require you to be security conscious and carry a strong understanding of patch management, certificate management, encryption, platform security and cloud network security.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps and SRE methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and incident response.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum practices and proficient in Git-based source code management.
