About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Hydrogeologist in the Water Science and Monitoring Branch. The Hydrogeologist is primarily responsible for providing professional hydrogeological advice and services in a supportive team environment, and uses existing tools and applications to obtain, assess and ensure the quality of data to support management decisions. The role focuses on providing advice on matters relating to the water planning and management of the State’s groundwater resources, supporting projects in various groundwater systems across the State and providing hydrogeological input into key Department for Environment and Water initiatives.

Contract:
Contract for 12 months.
Essential Qualifications:
Tertiary degree in engineering, natural resources, science or equivalent, with emphasis on hydrogeology is essential.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- A current class "C" driver's licence, and willingness to drive is desirable.
- May be required to occasionally undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
Remuneration:
PO1 $68,478 min - $83,594 max p.a.
