About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant / Senior Legal Assistant to join our Work Injuries team on a part-time permanent basis in our Traralgon office. Some office visits are required but we are open to remote work.

Working in a small, close-knit team , you will play a key role in providing high-quality administrative and legal support while delivering exceptional service to our clients. In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include managing incoming calls and client enquiries, handling diary management and appointment scheduling, liaising with internal and external clients, overseeing file management and document preparation, and providing general administrative support to the legal team.

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and eager to develop their skills. Strong client service and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.

The experience we are looking for

  • Experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a plaintiff law firm or assistant in a professional services firm is desirable
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work under pressure
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm and initiative
  • Confidence in fast paced environments with tenacity to meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent and tactful communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships
  • Able to use judgement about escalation of issues / information to Supervisor
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
