- Salary: $88,255 to $102,240 – AHP2 – Full Time / Ongoing appointment
Overview:
- The Epidemiologist is responsible for undertaking the statistical analysis and reporting of public health data from the population health surveys and registries including but not limited to pregnancy outcomes, cancer and suicide, maintained within the Epidemiology and Research Division, and external datasets.
- The role plans and undertakes the analysis and reporting of epidemiological data, preparing a range of routine and ad-hoc reports and recommendations on patterns of population health data.
- The Epidemiologist works collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including universities, researchers, and government, non-government and community stakeholders to assess and process requests for data held within the Epidemiology and Research Division.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
- A relevant degree which includes study in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health or health sciences.
