Salary Range: $92,155 to $100,140 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation

DHA was established in 1988 following passage of the Defence Housing Australia Act 1987 (DHA Act) to provide adequate and suitable housing for, and housing related services to, members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families. We remain committed to our purpose of providing housing, and housing related services, to ADF members and their families to support Defence’s operational needs.
DHA manages an expanding portfolio of housing solutions and provides housing for over 17,200 ADF members and their families and has an opportunity for an experienced Housing Specialist to join the team.
About your team
The Contact Centre is responsible for delivering timely, consistent and professional customer service to Defence members and their families. Operating out of Adelaide, Newcastle and Townsville in an omni-channel environment, the Contact Centre provides housing allocation and allowance administration services, tenancy/landlord management and Live In Accommodation booking services.
About the role
DHA is seeking a Housing Specialist with sound knowledge of policy and processes within Contact Centre environments. You will be responsible for work that is complex in nature including the management of complex and escalated cases and complaints. Working as part of a team you will work under limited supervision in a scheduled environment and respond flexibly to operational requirements.

In this role, you will be required to have:
- The ability to Interpret, apply and provide accurate advice regarding complex legislation and policy frameworks, including knowledge of Defence Policy and its application.
- The ability to develop and manage relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders.
- A proven track record responding to escalated and complex concerns with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Demonstrated business acumen and financial management experience in a commercial environment including supply and demand analysis, business improvements and reporting against KPIs.
- Sound verbal and written communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
