The Opportunity
The Project Implementation Manager will be responsible for managing the various component processes required to ensure the successful delivery of small to medium scale projects to Vocus’ Government customers. The Project Implementation Manager will also provide support to Project Managers.
Applicants must hold current Australian citizenship status to meet governmental criteria for NV1 Baseline Clearance, which is essential for this role.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
This role will undertake a wide range of duties in support of the successful delivery of the Vocus product portfolio to Government customers and the continuous improvement of the associated delivery processes. The items listed below form the core of the role:
- Lead the successful delivery of small to medium scale projects to Government customers.
- Provide proactive support to Project Managers during the delivery of large or complex projects to Government customers.
- Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to all customers through the delivery lifecycle, including post-completion.
- Work closely with Project Managers to provide customers weekly status reporting and, if necessary, other Project Management documentation in line with the PMI PMP methodology or equivalent.
- Accurately maintain delivery systems to facilitate accurate reporting of delivery forecasts, commitment dates and revenue for the Project Management team.
- Provide a single point of contact for enquires, issues and escalations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Prepare, submit and manage “Adds, Moves and Change” orders within Vocus delivery systems.
- Participate in ongoing team training.
- Assist with the continual improvement of processes within the Project Management team, National Service Delivery and across Vocus, where appropriate.
What you’ll bring to this role
Your technical skills:
- To be successful in this role, you have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Telecommunications background is preferred
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and processes or equivalent desirable
- Experience in supporting Voice Communication networks
- Strong understanding of Data Networks, Protocols and Equipment
- Experience in supporting Microsoft services, applications and networking
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Some experience with Supplier Management
- High-level competence and knowledge of Internet Technologies and Voice Communication technologies
Your Non-Technical skills:
- Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Experience in the Telecommunications industry
- Experience working with sales
- Experience in performing a customer support role
