We have several newly created permanent, full-time positions for Automation Operators to join our newly established team in Moorebank, Western Sydney.

Schedule: Initially, these roles will follow a Monday to Friday day shift schedule. Later, we will transition to a 12-hour rotating shift roster.

Start Date: Induction begins in May/June 2025.

Your position .
As an Automation Operator, you'll be the go-to person for responding to system errors and handling reactive calls/alarms as directed by our site flow control team. Your efforts will ensure productivity and outputs are maintained, equipment asset availability is optimized, and health & safety compliance, quality, and teamwork are upheld within agreed timescales.
This is a crucial role in the final stages of Project Completion, transitioning into operational activities at our complex store pick site. It's perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting service and operational outputs and eager to contribute to continuous improvements. You'll also play a key part in onboarding and training new starters and colleagues.
This role will involve working across different areas such as receiving and shipping goods, organizing pallets, unpacking items, and using automated systems to store and retrieve products.
Responsibilities

Control Room Support: Provide backfill support during absences or high demand.

Assist new starters, fostering a supportive learning environment.

Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with WHS legislation.

Address and resolve system stoppages and blockages quickly.
-
Aim for permanent solutions and continuous improvement.
-
Monitor and support equipment through regular maintenance.
-
Build strong relationships and act as a reliable contact.
-
Maintain clean and safe work areas, advocating “Clean as we Go” principles.

Interface courteously with colleagues and stakeholders.
-
Offer guidance and support to colleagues, participating in training opportunities.

Foster a collaborative environment and ensure smooth operations.

Cooperate with technical teams for maintenance activities.
-
Ensure thorough information transfer to new starters.
-
Address callouts, errors, alarms, and complaints efficiently.

Localize and address minor defects, coordinating with technical teams.

Conduct visual checks and assist with servicing activities

Thoroughly clean robotics, ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) equipment, pallet
Skills and Qualifications

A disciplined mindset and a proactive approach.

Previous experience is a plus but not essential.

An appreciation for safety and a commitment to following guidelines.

Willingness to adapt to different shift patterns.

Ability to take charge and make decisions.

Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

Experience in customer service and a desire to provide excellent service.

Willingness to be trained in simple corrective maintenance tasks.

Experience with SCADA systems is a bonus.
