Recycling Operator

Description:

• $29.11 per hour
• Tuesday to Saturday 5am – 1pm + overtime
• Permanent Full-time position – Morningside, QLD

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Recycling Operator for full-time work at our Morningside depot. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our container deposit scheme operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about sustainability and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As a Recycling Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading trucks/containers
• Assisting with the sorting line when needed
• Coordinating the inward and outward flow of materials
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment

About You

• Valid forklift license
• A strong commitment to safety and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with basic math skills
• Previous experience in the waste industry is an advantage, but not essential
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude to problem-solving
