Why this role matters
The Salvation Army (Salvos) Doorways model of care provides holistic financial support to individuals and families seeking short term financial assistance and ongoing financial management support services. The Doorways Team provide person-centered trauma informed care, facilitate short-term financial assistance, and walk side-by-side with participants as they build the skills and knowledge to break the cycle of poverty.
This position is responsible for leading the delivery of all Doorways services within a region, including operational management of all services, ensuring national practice standards are embedded, and demonstrates and promotes a collaborative approach with other TSA expressions and external partners and stakeholders.
This position is a member of the State Doorways Leadership team and will contribute to national practice, plans and frameworks.
About the role
We are seeking a values-driven Regional Manager for our Doorways program role. This position is based out of Eastern Victoria.
Reporting to the State Manager this is a Full time or Part time role, located in Fritzroy, Victoria.
You will successfully

Build and maintain collaborative relationships for integrated Doorways delivery

Lead and manage all Doorways services in the region

Support local mission delivery and represent Doorways in local mission planning

Develop Shared Mission Agreements for effective Doorways implementation

Ensure service delivery meets national standards and requirements
-
Record data for national service outcome evaluation

Monitor and ensure quality casework practice

Identify and address risks affecting services and TSA brand
-
Implement national frameworks for employees and volunteers
-
Provide supervision and manage performance of Doorways staff
-
Recruit, induct, and manage workforce; handle performance issues

Build relationships with external partners and stakeholders

Develop and recommend resources for community needs

Support volunteer capacity building and training
-
Manage business processes (payroll, procurement, etc.)

Address operational issues, including building management
-
Manage client feedback, complaints, and incidents
-
Foster a compliant, high-performance culture

Represent State Manager in internal and external forums
You will have
-
Relevant Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology or other Community/Human Services discipline

Extensive relevant experience in the community services sector, including in managing teams.

Experience working with people who experience trauma and/or exhibit multiple/complex service needs and/or are chronically disadvantaged

A national Criminal History check is required
