About the role
The Coordinator, Sustainability and Engineering Services is responsible for managing and optimizing the operation and maintenance of Federation University’s Building Management Systems (BMS), including HVAC, lighting, fire suppression, power generation, plumbing, and electrical systems. This role ensures the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of the university’s infrastructure through proactive monitoring, data-driven decision-making, and strategic improvements.
You will:

provide leadership in the integration, maintenance and operation of the BMS and Digital Twin technologies;

conduct routine inspections, diagnostics and maintenance;

train and support facilities team on BMS operation;

drive the implementation of sustainability programs; and
-
develop and manage risk assessment frameworks.
About you
Reporting to the Manager, Property and Environment, you will have extensive knowledge of assets controlled by the building management system (BMS) and a demonstrated knowledge of sustainability principles and industry best practices. You will possess strong leadership skills, including stakeholder engagement and staff training.
You will possess:

knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems;

experience in fault identification and rectification of environmental control systems;

practical knowledge of OH&S, environmental regulations and sustainability legislation; and

proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant data analysis tools
