About the Role
The Clinical Pharmacist Theatres Grade 3 is a clinically focused leadership role.
You will provide a comprehensive and advanced clinical pharmacy service to St Vincent’s Hospital theatres including operating suites, day procedures, anaesthetics, endoscopy, cardiac cath lab and peri-op and pre-admission clinics. The focus will be on the theatres and providing medicine management to patients undergoing surgery.
This role includes clinical pharmacy, management, mentoring and training. It includes supervision of rotational pharmacists working at St Vincent’s on the Park rapid access surgical centre, pharmacists working with pre-admission patients and pharmacists managing patients on the day of surgery. The role will be responsible for supervising interns and students working in these areas.
This role will be a clinical leader in theatre pharmacy and work as an integral part of the extended theatre team.
This role will collaborate and work with other senior pharmacists in the department.
Classifications for this position will range from SX6 - SX81 ($106,688 - $121,477 per annum).
Your Contribution
• AHPRA registered pharmacist
• Broad range of experience (minimum of 5 years) in hospital pharmacy.
• Extensive theatre pharmacy experience
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Current Nationally coordinated criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Pharmacy
St Vincent’s Hospital Pharmacy service provides high quality pharmacy service to St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, St George’s Hospital, Caritas Christi Hospice and correctional facilities managed by St Vincent’s Hospital. Pharmacy services are decentralised and are provided from several satellite pharmacist located on wards and in treatment areas.
