The Role:
We are looking for a Risk Manager to join our high performing project team, based on our site office of a major infrastructure project. You will establish and manage the project risk processes, planning and monitoring performance to deliver on time and on budget in accordance with the project's procedures and processes over the full project lifecycle. Drawing on your ability to influence across all levels, you will proactively identify and analyse risks and opportunities with the team, with tasks including:
- Develop and implement risk strategies and audits / reviews for the project.
- Ensure monitoring and reporting of Project Controls processes are successfully set-up on the project.
- Provide effective, efficient and professional planning resources and support to the project including implementing standard processes and reports.
- Interface with project team, partners, clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors, subcontractors for management of the planning function in accordance with established procedures.
- Proactively lead a planning and controls culture across the project based on best practice and with a focus on risk management, cost control and HSE.
- Early identification and communication of issues and opportunities to the project.
- Provide training and provide guidance to subordinates and colleagues in the use of risk systems, project monitoring & controls and the interpretation of data and information generated.
- Implement project risk monitoring systems, particularly focussing on time, cost, resources & quality. Ensure that reports generated across project(s) provide maximum certainty for project.
- Lead Project & Operations Managers in report interpretation, analysis of project performance, forward planning and development of corrective actions to maximise project delivery outcomes.
Who we're looking for:
- Tertiary degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines – Commercial, Engineering, Construction or Project Management, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Construction, Engineering, Planning and Project Controls.
- Experience in the planning process and the use of risk management.
- Use of planning software & tools such as Primavera Project Planning, Time Chainage Charts, Schedule Risk Analysis, Program Forensic Analysis, Earned Value and Cash Flow Analysis.
- Multi-disciplined project planning experience.
- Leadership and management of risk, planning and cost teams.
- Experience in managing planning of major projects and tenders.
- Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen in decision making.
