Role Overview:
As the Clinical Services Manager, your primary responsibility is to provide exemplary clinical leadership and guidance to ensure the delivery of advanced clinical and person-centered care to our residents. You will oversee clinical quality assurance initiatives, ensuring adherence to best-practice clinical benchmarks and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will manage day-to-day operational tasks, including staff management, budget oversight, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement within the clinical and care teams.
- Provide clear direction and guidance to team leaders, monitoring performance and implementing retention strategies.
- Conduct performance management processes and provide ongoing feedback and support to staff.
Clinical Governance:
- Ensure adherence to clinical governance policies and procedures.
- Provide authoritative clinical advice and guidance to staff.
- Monitor clinical risk and performance at both organisational and individual levels.
Service Delivery:
- Manage budgets and resource allocation within scope of responsibility.
- Facilitate comprehensive assessment and care planning processes.
- Liaise with allied health professionals to ensure holistic care provision.
Quality and Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure compliance with legislation and quality standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to quality activities.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum five years of post-registration experience in aged care, including management experience.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and communication abilities.
- Experience in achieving high standards and accreditation outcomes.
- Strong initiative, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in staff rostering and AN-AAC.
