About Sarina State High School
Sarina State High School is a regional school of approximately 850 students, situated close to beautiful beaches and rainforest, a short 25-minute drive to Mackay. The school emphasizes a culture of high expectations, ensuring every student exits with the learning, training, and qualifications to enter a suitable pathway. The school community is strengthened by strong local community relationships, providing students with individualized pathways. We offer a broad range of subjects, and our Year 12 academic outcomes exceed the state average in both ATAR and QCE attainment. About the Role

  • Provide leadership and guidance for implementing innovative measures to improve student learning outcomes and attendance in schools with a significant percentage of disadvantaged students, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all.
  • Prepare all data returns for the Principal as requested.
  • Provide management and engagement strategies, including induction activities for new arrivals, and advise on their academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Monitor students' individual performance and behavior and develop and implement intervention strategies as necessary.
