Southern Cotton is an award-winning cotton farming, processing and export organisation located in Whitton in the NSW Riverina. We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Administration Officer to join our dynamic team. Position Overview:
As the Administration Officer you will be responsible for supporting our business by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, with responsibilities spanning accounts, logistics and other key business processes. Your diligence, ability to manage multiple tasks, and familiarity with administrative procedures and financial records will be essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various departments and provide administration support where required to ensure the smooth operation of business.
- Assist with accounting tasks such as processing invoices, managing accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling accounts.
- Manage freight movements, process weighbridge transactions and ensure accurate documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and registers.
- Assist in business improvement initiatives and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in administration and accounts is essential.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and multitasking.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with weighbridge operations or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
