Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.

TRAINEE BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT (Permanent Term appointment – 2 years) – Readvertised

The purpose of the role is to support the Infrastructure and Operations Team in carrying out administration functions of Council. This will include keeping accurate records, assisting with the preparation of funding applications, assisting with administration and preparation of accurate costing reports and assisting with any financial acquittals to meet Council’s and funding agency compliance.

This entry-level, Pathways 2680 traineeship is open to individuals of all backgrounds, not just recent school leavers, and is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about gaining on-the-job experience. As a trainee, you will work toward a nationally accredited qualification while acquiring practical knowledge and skills to set you up for success in the industry.

Skills & Knowledge : The successful applicant will require computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite and have good written and verbal communication skills. The successful applicant will also be able to perform basic mathematical calculations

Hours of work: 35 hours per week.

Salary and conditions: Starting salary $803.30 per week plus superannuation. Remuneration offered will be in accordance with clause 32C wage rates of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
