About the role
Everest Civil is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Brisbane. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects, utilising your expertise to operate and maintain heavy machinery. What you'll be doing
- Safely and efficiently operate excavators and other heavy construction equipment to carry out a variety of tasks such as earthmoving, site preparation, and demolition
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate equipment usage and job site activities
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to continuously improve your skills
What we're looking for
- Minimum 7 years of experience as an Excavator Operator utilizing GPS in the Civil construction industry
- Possess a valid driver's licence and relevant construction equipment operating licences or certificates
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
