About the role
Based in our Head office in Essendon Fields with some working from home opportunities available, an opportunity exists for a Software Engineer in our Common Use Self Service (CUSS) Platform Team who has a strong desire to contribute and participate in the exciting opportunities arising within a dynamic, technology business with growth and expansion plans.
Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, this position is responsible for working with other Software Engineers to design, build and deliver features that passengers and airline staff will use every day in airports around the world.
As part of the team, you will:
- Develop and maintain .NET/WPF applications that power self-service bag drop and kiosk units.
- Build software that interfaces with industrial control systems and physical hardware like coveyors and sensors.
- Contribute to user interface design that makes self-service travel intuitive and stress-free.
- Gain hands-on experience delivering software that operates in tightly integrated hardware/software environments.

About You
We are looking for a collaborative, team player with good communication skills.
Some Software Development experience, either in a professional setting or on your own personal projects would be beneficial, with experience/knowlege of C#, .NET and/or WPF a bonus.
An interest in or exposure to systems that interact with hardware - whether that's automation, robotics, mechatronics or similar.
An interest in airport/airline environments, notably with passenger check-in requirements, would be helpful.
