The position
SCOTS PGC College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our
academic staff.
This is a full-time position to commence at the beginning of Term 2, 2025. Applications close on
Friday, 14 March 2025.
What you will need to possess

1. A passion for working with children in an independent, secondary school context.
2. A demonstrated ability to create and maintain positive, professional relationships with

students, parents and colleagues.
3. Experience in establishing a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment that

extends beyond the classroom.
4. A commitment to the pastoral care and wellbeing of each student.
5. The ability to teach English in Years 7-12.
6. A strong commitment to the holistic nature of education at an independent school.
7. The ability to be registered as a teacher in Queensland.

2. Statement addressing the “What you will need to possess” points outlined above.
3. Current resume outlining your professional experience and qualifications. Your resume

should include information relating to at least two professional referees. At least one
referee should be a recent line manager.
