One of our crew is heading home so we are looking for a replacement for the remainder of our harvest season. We need a keen and capable person (who preferably already holds an Australian LF forklift licence) to work in our mungbean grading shed at Australian Mungbean Company in Biloela, Queensland for 3-4 months starting Mon 31 March. The job includes operating the grading and bagging machinery, moving palletised goods with a forklift, keeping records and helping to maintain plant cleanliness. The job is eligible for WHV extension/88 or 176 days.
AMCo is a family owned and operated company. Our small team of high achievers are an important link in the chain between our mungbean farmers and export markets. We pay a generous hourly rate (including overtime where applicable) and superannuation. Work is typically 8-9 hours/day, 5-6 days/week. Night-shift work will be available which is paid at 1.5x after 6pm. Comfortable share accommodation is available in a two-bedroom airconditioned house walking distance from work, shops and pubs. You will be sharing the house with three other WHV holders who are working for us this season.
Biloela is a regional centre of around 5000 with two grocery shops, three pubs and even three sets of traffic lights! Its only 90 minutes drive to Rockhampton, Gladstone, the beach, or Kroombit Tops and Cania Gorge national parks. In just under 3 hours you can be snorkelling on Great Keppel Island or bushwalking at the spectacular Canarvon Gorge.
The successful applicant will be reliable, flexible, and dedicated to following safe work procedures. They must be on board with the rest of our team as we all work hard together to complete a successful processing season.
