About the Role:We are looking for skilled and passionate Chefs to join our team on contract for aged care facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and well-balanced meals for residents, adhering to dietary requirements and food safety standards. If you have experience working in aged care or healthcare settings and enjoy creating wholesome meals, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals that cater to the dietary needs of aged care residents.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Work closely with facility staff to accommodate special dietary requirements (allergies, texture-modified meals, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
- Deliver high-quality meals that promote resident well-being and enjoyment.
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in an aged care, healthcare, or similar setting.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
- Knowledge of dietary guidelines for aged care residents.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work across various shifts if required.
