About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Canteen Manager to oversee the daily operations of the canteen at Findon High School. This is a casual role, offering flexible working hours, and is located in Findon, SA 5023. As the Canteen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of the school canteen, providing nutritious and appealing meals to our students and staff.
What you'll be doing
Manage the day-to-day operations of the school canteen, including menu planning, food preparation, and stock management Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food handling regulations Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of canteen staff and volunteers Develop and implement strategies to promote the canteen and increase sales Manage the canteen's financial operations, including budgeting, ordering, and invoicing Foster a positive and collaborative working environment for the canteen team Actively contribute to the school's community and participate in events as requiredWhat we're looking for
Proven experience as a Canteen Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and menu planning Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with students, staff, and the school community Proficient in financial management and inventory control Effective communication and leadership skills Ability to work well in a team and take initiative Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate in Hospitality or Food Service Management, are highly desirableWhat we offer
