About the Role
As an Allied Health Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, working closely with allied health professionals to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services. You will assist patients in receiving early discharge support and home-based rehabilitation across the CALHN metropolitan area. Your clinical tasks may involve installing prescribed equipment, supporting self-care training, and delivering components of rehabilitation programs such as exercise and mobility activities.
In addition to your clinical duties, you will help maintain the cleanliness and functionality of therapy equipment and provide essential administrative support. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. About You
We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who is eager to support patient rehabilitation in a dynamic team setting. To thrive in this role, you should meet the following key requirements:
- A Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and maintain client confidentiality.
- Ability to observe, report on patient progress, and work flexibly with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in patient care or working with individuals with disabilities, and a solid understanding of manual handling and safety procedures.
- Hold a current driver's licence
