Overview
Using your clinical knowledge and experience, you will be responsible for the coordination of residential care services within Strathalbyn Aged Care. The main focus of your role will be the line management and leadership of nursing and carer staff whilst working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care to residents. You will have the skills to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure service delivery is in alignment with the Aged Care Quality Standards. Understanding resource management, rostering and HR processes will be pivotal to the role and it is expected that you will embrace the Barossa Hills Fleurieu LHN values – Trust, Respect, Integrity, Collaboration and Kindness.
The Nurse Manager will be accountable for the outcomes of nursing practice. You will address inconsistencies between practice and policy and develop team performance and a positive workplace culture in the interest of resident outcomes.
You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. Demonstrating a broad range of nursing experience and competence in accordance with appropriate standards of practice, you will possess effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation. These skills will equip you to foster a work environment that develops staff potential and facilitates creativity and innovation. Knowledge of Quality Improvement systems and OHSW&IM legislative responsibilities will be highly regarded.
