As a Project Officer (P2) your primary objective is to provide policy, engagement, coordination and project management support to the Office of Water Security (OWS) in leading implementation of priority water security initiatives and other strategic water policy reform projects and activities, in particular water efficiency and demand management.Your primary responsibilities involve providing technical subject matter expertise to support project delivery and policy advice targeted at demand management and water efficiency. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of cross-agency research and policy projects focussing on water security, quality, efficiency and reforms in partnership with community stakeholders. You will also be required to prepare, review and coordinate high level reports, briefings and correspondence on water resource management and water security.
As a Senior Project Officer (P3) your primary objective and responsibilities will be similar to the P2 level but will have a stronger focus on delivering project management support to facilitate the implementation of priority water security initiatives and support project delivery and policy advice targeted at demand management and water efficiency.To be successful you require, sound project management, strategic thinking and analytical skills, along with well-developed written and verbal communication and reporting skills, and demonstrated experience in the evaluation of government policy, preferably in an environment-related field.
