About the role and where you will be working:
This role involves collaborating closely with service areas to enhance financial management through proactive and customer-focused support. Key responsibilities include leading the annual budget process, monitoring budgets, and analysing service area performance. The position plays a critical role in ensuring the timely preparation of monthly reports, the development of the annual budget, and the analysis of operational activities.
This position is located in our central office in Rivervale with the option to work from home 2 days per week.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Build strong business partnerships with Service Areas to effectively manage their financial performance, ensuring alignment with agreed targets and the approved budget.
- Prepare monthly management reports, including commentary and variance analysis, for the Services Area, Executive team, and Board.
- Ensure that you and your team adhere to the Aged Care Code of Conduct and NDIS Standards, demonstrating respectful, kind, and consistent behaviour as outlined in these guidelines.
- Make sure compliance documentation is current and promptly uploaded to ESS.
About you
You are a Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant (or equivalent) with 5–7 years of experience in a similar financial or business partnering role. You have a strong background in preparing and analysing monthly financial reports, including budget analysis, trending, and providing insightful commentary.
Your well-developed skills in accounting, financial analysis, and budget management are complemented by your experience with financial reporting and budget creation tools. You excel in business partnering, enabling service areas to effectively manage their financial performance against targets.
To be considered for this role you’ll need:
- Initiative and the ability to effectively prioritise & multi task.
- Great interpersonal & communication skills.
- Experience in process review or improvement functions, including audit.
- Aged Care, Health industry, or complex service industry experience.
