About the role
We are looking for a Superintendent Asset Readiness & Commissioning to join the Operational Readiness team working across several projects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This role will provide Asset Readiness & Commissioning support for the projects from pre-feasibility study through to execution, commissioning and handover to facilitate and promote successful projects. You will need to be flexible with FIFO to various operations required.
You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on either a 5.2 4.3 roster (Monday – Thursday on site), or regular commute roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Manager Operational Readiness , you will;
- Manage project readiness activities to maximise productivity while minimising cost and environmental impact
- Provide discipline expertise and project management discipline to all project stages on behalf of the business owner, to identify preparatory activities that safely deliver effective systems of work, competent people and reliable assets (including associated NPI assets)
- Contribute to the Operational Readiness Plan, schedule and budget throughout all stages of the project
- Support the project readiness program with all mining discipline related projects handed over so operations meet ramp up and planned sale ore product (SOP) and total material movement (TMM) extraction rates
- Provide input on equipment selection and functionality
- Develop business case to justify any project inclusions or omissions improving project outcomes
- Conduct project readiness reviews to identify risks and constraints – lead mitigation efforts where required
- Use the life of mine, five-year plan and quarterly plan to provide clear and concise direction for key stakeholders
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Demonstrated experience in a site leadership role in surface mining operations
- Proven ability in safety leadership in the mining or relevant industry
- Strong understanding of surface mining approaches, systems and processes
- Understanding of RTIO Management of Change (MoC) system
- Knowledge of project management and project site activities
- Exposure to risk management and business improvement methodologies
- Well-developed people influencing, engagement and communication skills
- Capability to write conclusive reports and create documents presenting requirements and developed plans, strategies and approaches
