Opportunities currently exist for a Draftsperson to join our Smithtown Factory. Smithtown is the home of MILO®, Australia's iconic crunchy milk drink, and more recently Nescafe single serve Café Menu range.

In this role, the Draftsperson will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by architects, engineers, and other professionals.

A day in the life…

Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare detailed drawings of architectural and engineering designs, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify drawings.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date library of drawings and related documents.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong communicator with a drive to deliver quality outcomes with efficiency and with a passion for continuous process improvement.
  • A diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a drafting role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to drafting.
  • Self-management following defined KPIs/Objectives and proactively tracking them.
