About the Role:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager as a Laser Machine Operator you will:
- Operate and maintain Amada plate & 3D tube laser cutting machines.
- Program and edit CNC code for optimal material usage.
- Handle sheet metal & tubular materials ensuring proper placement.
- Conduct quality control checks and troubleshoot machine issues.
- Monitor consumables to maintain optimal cutting conditions.
- 7 months ongoing work
- 10 Hr Days Monday - Friday
- Experience operating Amada plate and 3D tube cutters (Desirable)
- Strong knowledge of laser cutting processes, materials & tolerances.
- Proficiency in CNC programming & G-code modifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, and maintain laser cutting machines.
- Understanding of assist gases (Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon). (Desirable)
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
