Job Summary
Instruct guests of all abilities and ages on how to improve their ski/ride skill, while providing a safe, fun, and effective learning environment. We are looking for Ski & Snowboard applicants across all levels of certification and experience.
We offer a range of private, adult, group and kids lessons alongside our seasonal programs. Our all-day and half-day kids lessons are very popular and we’re seeking applications from instructors who are passionate about teaching skiing or snowboarding to children of all ages
Essential Functions
- Instruct the same group of junior skiers or riders for the entirety of the season if required
- Teaches proper technique appropriate to the ability level of those being instructed
- Promotes safety and gives students the knowledge to remain safe when they leave the program to ski/ride on their own
- Participates in clinics and free-skiing to constantly improve personal skiing skills
- Attends APSI clinics, and takes appropriate exams, on an ongoing basis
- Pre-season clinics required
- Greet guests and direct guests to proper lesson locations
- Must successfully complete CPSR Snow Sports Training
NOTE All Charlotte Pass Snow Resort employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.

- Must be helpful, friendly, courteous and professional in accordance with Charlotte Pass’ commitment to providing superior customer service.
- Treat each guest as an important individual when providing instruction.
Qualifications
- High School Certificate
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Patience, and a love of the outdoors and teaching
- Must pass background check necessary to work with children
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Clear verbal communication skills
- Ability to ski/board safely and confidently in all conditions and in varying types of terrain at all times
- Ability to work during peak ski times and in bad weather
Physical and Mental Demands
- Must be capable of skiing/riding for prolonged periods of time (3+ hours at a time) to teach classes.
- Dealing with demanding customers can be stressful.
Work Environment
Work is performed both outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind and rain, on varied snow surfaces, as well as indoors. Indoor time is spent with group during lunch and breaks.
