Position Overview
As a Specialist or Senior Specialist General Physician , you will provide consultant-level care to inpatients within our General Medical Units. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, support junior clinicians, and play a key role in safe and effective discharge planning in collaboration with community and ambulatory care services.
Remuneration & Benefits
- Base Salary:
- Up to $298,705
- Private Practice Allowance – Category B: Up to 50% of ordinary annual salary
- Professional Development Allowance: $22,251–$29,670 p.a. (pro-rata)
- Second Roster Allowance: $42,677 p.a. (pro-rata)
- Superannuation: 11.5%
- Relocation assistance up to $20,000
- 12 weeks subsidised hospital accommodation
- 6 weeks annual leave per year
- AHPRA Specialist Registration is essential
- Must hold Fellowship with FRACP in General and Acute Care Medicine (or equivalent)
- No capacity for further peer review – applicants must be eligible for independent practice
- Senior role applicants must have at least 6 years of post-fellowship experience
- Strong leadership, cultural capability, and commitment to Aboriginal health
