About us
The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role
The Salesforce Administrator is based in the Technology and Digital Platforms Division. Your role will report into the Service Delivery Manager, Technology and Digital Platforms. Your unit will collaborate with the business function and the vendor to execute service delivery processes for the newly implemented Salesforce based solution.
The role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of this platform and handling internal customer support incidents or incidents raised by users. You will also be expected to assist the business unit with reporting and process management using Salesforce's built in tools. With your Salesforce administration background and support skills, you will ensure delivery of a high-quality service to staff and end users by handling incidents, service requests and managing ongoing platform hygiene. You will follow the service delivery processes to achieve high service delivery standards. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and vendor support teams, you will support the service delivery function to ensure end to end resolution of technical issues and service administration tasks.
About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in a client facing administration and incident resolution role within a level 2 or higher service delivery function for a Salesforce operation is required.
- At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in administering a Salesforce based platform with at least 20 internal platform users is required.
- At least 1 year of demonstrable experience in administering a Salesforce based platform with thousands of external users (customers) is highly regarded.
- Good overall understanding of Service Management principles and practices, ITIL certification highly regarded.
- Experience of working in a consulting or managed IT services environment or supporting a vendor managed service is highly regarded.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with expert level use of MS Office products is required.
- A relevant tertiary or post graduate qualification in the digital/technological field is highly desirable.
