About the role
Eastern Health operates five pharmacy departments. Our enthusiastic team of pharmacists and technicians are dedicated to providing high quality, evidence-based care to our patients at the time they are most needed. Our technicians are active members of our pharmacy team and assist with the dispensing of prescriptions, preparation of compounded pharmaceuticals and participate in pharmacy inventory management, distribution, imprest, clinical trials and clinical support services. Our pharmacy department strongly values professional development and clinical education. We have an ongoing commitment to practice-based research and offer opportunities for involvement to all staff.
About you
An opportunity exists for a passionate technician with sound hospital knowledge to join our dedicated team. This Eastern Health position will be based from Angliss Hospital and be responsible for the provision of technician pharmacy services to the Hospital.
To be successful in the role you will have:
• Certificate 3 in Hospital-Health services pharmacy support
• A commitment to quality improvement
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Strong commitment to high quality patient care
Previous hospital pharmacy experience is desirable.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
