Description
The Role
We are excited to welcome a new team member to support our Warehouse and Logistics Operations. This hands-on role promises variety, with no two days being the same. Our Warehouse Assistants are passionate and driven, playing a crucial part in ensuring our retail stores maintain adequate stock levels and achieve their sales targets.
In this role, you will provide high-quality support to retail stores and warehouse operations by performing inventory management and distribution tasks, operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently, and utilising warehousing tools and equipment as needed.
This is a permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week) based in Townsville.

Skills And Experiences
To be successful in this position, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:
- Previous experience providing warehouse and logistic support services
- Understanding of warehousing and logistic operations including inventory management, picking and packaging and distribution
- Forklift License Required (or able to obtain)
- Driver’s License Required
- Ability to work within timeframes and priorities own workload to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services
- Understanding of and a commitment to safe workplace practices, ensuring all policies, procedures and legislative requirements are adhered to
- Ability to work as a member of a team, providing support as required to ensure organizational objectives are achieved
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
- Understanding of risk management principles including current WHS legislation and regulations
