Structural Steel Detailer - Edinburgh, Sa - Up To $90k Plus Super

Our client has an 80 year history and is Australia's leading full service designer and manufacturer of switchrooms for the building services industry. They are seeking an experienced steel / structural detailer to join their team in Adelaide. This role offers a unique opportunity for a CAD professional passionate about steel structure design to be part of a cross functional engineering team designing and delivering products at the highest standards to their customers.
The role

• Collaborate with structural engineers to ensure accurate detailing
• Develop detailed shop drawings for steel fabrication based on architectural and engineering plans in Advance Steel / Tekla
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements
• Identify and resolve issues related to detailing, fabrication, or construction during the design phase
• Collaborate with steel fabricators to address any concerns or questions related to the fabrication process

Key skills and experience required

• Likely technically trained with a Cert IV in Engineering Drafting, Diploma of Engineering or maybe even a Bachelor of Engineering but if you have significant experience as a structural detailer please reach out
• Proficient in 3D modelling with Tekla or Advance Steel
• Demonstrated experience with projects governed by AS1554 and AS5131 relating to detailing, fabrication and welding of steel structures and steel detailing, construction methods and their impact on design
