Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Equipment Delivery Driver to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering medical gases and equipment to various healthcare facilities, as well as visiting patients in their homes to assist with set-up, education, and maintenance of oxygen equipment. Located in Darwin.

Description
As a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering medical gases to doctors, dentists, and residential aged care facilities.
- Visiting patients' homes to deliver medical equipment, medical gas cylinders, and other necessary medical supplies.
- Setting up and maintaining medical equipment while educating patients on its proper use.
- Diagnosing and providing replacements for defective units.
- Performing administrative tasks, including stock management.
Profile
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Experience and confidence in operating a Medium Rigid Truck in a safe manner. A Medium Rigid (MR) Licence is required.
- Proficient in safe driving techniques and knowledgeable about the Darwin areas.
- Reasonable physical fitness, as the role involves moving cylinders and medical equipment with weights ranging from 4 to 25kg. Heavier items (20kgs plus) will require transportation using a trolley.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination certificate (due to the high-risk setting).
- Exceptional communication skills.
- A forklift licence would be advantageous.
- Prior experience in healthcare or gas cylinder handling is highly valued.
- Completed a clean police report/criminal check, as delivering to Aged Care Facilities is a high-risk setting. Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations and/or exemptions is required before commencement.
