Description:
This role requires:
- Accurate weekly and fortnightly payroll processing in line with company policies.
- Handling of payroll queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax, superannuation and employment legislation.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of employee working hours and leave balances.
- Assisting in the preparation of end-of-month financial statements.
- Coordinating with human resources to ensure correct employee data.
Requirements:
A successful Payroll Officer must have:
- Proven experience in a Payroll Officer role or similar.
- Proficiency in a range of payroll software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and payroll processes.
- Exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and in high-volume environments.
