You can expect variety in your work. For example, one day you may be required to visit a wastewater treatment plant or drainage site collecting samples. The next, you might be completing data entry or preparing instruments for field work.

Key skills and experience:

  • Experience in undertaking manual field duties with minimum supervision
  • Accurate with numbers as measurements will need to be taken in the field
  • Strong Awareness of Safety in the field and a proactive approach to safe workplace
  • Diploma will be well regarded but not essential
  • Strength in year 12 Mathematics, particularly Applications
  • Demonstrated good computing skills, use of Microsoft suite of systems and ability to learn and apply new business and technical computing applications.

Who is eligible?

  • Successfully completed Year 12
  • Hold a full WA Driver’s Licence ‘C Class’
  • Positive attitudes will see you do well
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, be committed, enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills in a team environment
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment as well as with minimum supervision
  • Committed to self-learning and development
