Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital
The Manager Quality, Risk & Patient Experience, in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DONM) is responsible for:

Providing leadership and direction in the quality improvement , clinical safety and consumer partnership space,

Maintaining accreditation and licensing obligations
-
Managing Quality and Risk team and allocated resources
-
Coordinating the Quality and Clinical Risk program
The role is offered on a Permanent Full Time basis, working 38 hours per week.
The Position :
-
In consultation with the Hospital Management Committee (HMC), develop, implement and coordinate risk management and quality improvement strategies to enhance the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of services and programs.

In conjunction with the Director of Nursing & Midwifery (DONM), develop and maintain an organisation wide plan for the continued evolution of quality and clinical risk management within the Hospital.

Clinical Practice and Policy Development by overseeing the development, revision, editing and management of the electronic policy and procedure library, ensuring best practice guidelines are adopted and used to inform clinical practices, and to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and standards.

Responsible for the coordination of the Hospital’s external certification programs, including; National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards (NSQHSS) National Standards, Australia Council of Healthcare Standards (ACHS), and Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation through Quality in Practice (QIP).

In consultation with the DMS and DONM, coordinate external reporting requirements, including notification to the Patient Safety Surveillance Unit (PSSU) and Licensing and Regulatory Unit (LARU).
You will hold current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with a comprehensive knowledge of accreditation and private hospital licensing requirements.

Salary : $119,910 to $133,183 plus 11.5% superannuation
