About the role

Supagas are on the hunt for an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to support our Maintenance Team located in Kwinana. Being a full-time permanent position, this opportunity is ready for an immediate start.
Your focus will be to inspect, calibrate and repair electrical equipment on assets including LNG storage and regassification facilities, LPG bulk storage and cylinder filling equipment.
You will ensure that electrical and instrument plant and equipment provide the reliability that the business requires by undertaking and completing instrument and electrical maintenance and projects in a safe and efficient manner.
You will:
  • Assist maintenance and operations in the planning, implementation, and completion of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Fault find on and rectify electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
  • Self-manage completion of discrete packaged planned campaign type maintenance or remediation.
  • Assist with installation projects for new facilities.
  • Carry out installation, pre-commissioning checks and assist in the final commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment as required.
  • Undertake inspection of work, hazardous areas and package checks as required.
  • Provide support for project meetings on conceptual analysis, hazards and operability studies and other team activities required in development and review of projects.
  • Participate in a callout roster, responding to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a positive, helpful and timely manner.
  • Periodically travel to remote mine sites to conduct maintenance.
  • Provide relevant feedback to enable maintenance planning improvements in terms of cost, efficiency and equipment integrity.
  • Follow workplace occupational health and safety policies and procedures for hazard identification and risk assessment, and ensure safety remains our number one priority in the workplace.
You possess:
  • Trade qualification and recognised licence in Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.
  • A grade unrestricted lectrical Worker Licence.
  • Prior experience in a similar trade role.
  • Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical.
  • PLC and SCADA systems knowledge.
  • Strong safety focus with experience working with permits and hazard analysis.
  • An ability to plan and execute your own work schedule in line with competing priorities and demands.
  • Reliability as a team player with a strong work ethic.
