Whether you're keen on an apprenticeship, traineeship, or even uni—this is your chance to get hands-on experience in the oil, gas and energy industry.
Woodside Energy, in partnership with Programmed, is offering a one-week Work Experience Program during the July school holidays.
This is your opportunity to:
- Learn about different careers – from electrical and mechanical trades to engineering, environment, operations, lab work, admin, warehousing and more.
- See what it’s like to work at Woodside – one of Australia's leading energy companies.
- Explore your interests and discover what path might be right for you.
- Build confidence and learn what it means to be work-ready.
You’ll also get:
- A full uniform and PPE to wear on site.
- Support from the Programmed team, who are here to help you succeed.
- This is an unpaid program designed to give students real insight into the world of work.
When & Where?
When: One week during the July school holidays; we will be offering two x one week programs
Where: You could be placed at the Karratha Gas Plant or Pluto Gas Plant.
Can I Apply?
Yes – if you:
- Are in Year 11 or 12
- Are at least 15 years old at the time of the placement
- Attend Karratha Senior High School, St Luke’s College, or Roebourne District High School

Applications will be reviewed by Programmed and your school.
If selected, you’ll be invited to:
- Attend an information session
- Complete an online induction
- Get fitted for your uniform
