Overview:
The Maintenance Fitter plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant operations. This position involves conducting maintenance tasks, diagnosing equipment issues, and collaborating with operations to enhance performance. The successful candidate will oversee maintenance activities, respond to breakdowns, and contribute to long-term equipment reliability strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep equipment operating at peak performance.
- Identify and resolve machinery issues using diagnostic tools and effective troubleshooting techniques.
- Assist in the implementation and execution of the site’s condition monitoring program.
- Provide hands-on support for capital project implementation.
- Apply expertise in pneumatic and hydraulic systems for optimal equipment functionality.
- Utilise the work management system to efficiently plan, execute, and document maintenance activities.
- Work closely with operations teams to enhance machine efficiency and reliability.
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns, ensuring high-quality repairs to minimise downtime.
- Maintain thorough shift reports and update the CMMS to ensure accurate data tracking.
This role is centred on optimising maintenance processes while fostering a collaborative, proactive, and results-driven work environment. The Maintenance Fitter will work alongside operations teams to achieve excellence in safety, quality & reliability. Background:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade:
- Must have previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter within FMCG or Industrial
- Expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to lead and take ownership of tasks
