About the role
If you are looking for job security with a successful and growing Australian company, then this is the role for you! Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this company is looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter with over 3 years' experience to join their team of 25 in Unanderra, Woollongong!
Key Responsibilities
- Overhauling of electric motors, pumps, generators, transformers, reactors, gearboxes
- Dismantle, condition assess, test & overhaul AC and DC electric motors & submersible pumps
- Dismantle, condition assess, test & overhaul & certify flameproof electric motors & submersible pumps
- Rewind LV & HV, AC & DC electric motors (Including dc armatures)
- Perform on-site duties where required such as equipment removals, onsite overhauls, electric motor maintenance, installs and /or other site duties as required.
Skills & experience
- You will be a trade qualified electrical fitter with an electrical license
- 3 + years previous electrical fitter experience is a must with exp on AC/ DC motor repair.
- Flag proof accreditation is highly desirable
- Taking direction, being self-motivated and having the ability to follow safety procedures is essential for this role.
- You must have an Australian Driver's License.
Culture
This company provides stability and great working hours with an organised, highly operational workshop environment. Hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm and Friday 7.30am to 12pm. Overtime is required from time to time and work is predominantly based on premises although there is an opportunity to work on site occasionally.
