About the role
Retail Supervisor must ensure that retail operations are carried out effectively and efficiently for maximum customer satisfaction and develop sales with revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Operations
· Enforce in-store security, health, and safety procedures.
· Maintain high visual merchandising standards and store conditions.
· Deliver exceptional sales service to enhance customer satisfaction.
· Interact with customers to identify their needs and preferences.
· Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) machines.
· Receive and verify the quality and quantity of new shipments.
· Keep the store fully stocked and maintain accurate inventory records.
Sales and Customer Transactions
· Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets.
· Process customer payments for goods and services.
· Check product prices and prepare sales invoices.
· Provide post-sale services, including returns and refunds.
· Liaise with vendors and suppliers based on customer feedback.
Customer Services
· Welcome customers and answer product-related questions.
· Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences.
· Address customer concerns and demonstrate product usage.
· Inform customers about sales, promotions, and store policies.
Stock Management
· Unpack deliveries and restock shelves.
· Maintain stock levels and conduct inventory checks.
· Participate in stocktakes and periodic accounting.
Store Promotions and Maintenance
· Communicate customer feedback and complaints to the manager.
· Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
· Adhere to health and safety procedures.
Qualifications Requirements
· Diploma or higher qualification in business, commerce, or a relevant field.
· Alternatively, 2+ years of experience in retail management position.
Experience and Skills
· Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in all aspects of retail operations.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Strong problem-solving abilities.
· Compliance with store policies, including WHS procedures.
· Knowledge of retail industry regulations and store protocols.
Technical and Other Skills:
· Proficiency in computer operation, Microsoft Office, and email.
· Ability to adapt to shift work in a dynamic retail environment.
· Hardworking, collaborative, and proactive approach to work.
· Friendly, helpful, and committed to customer satisfaction and business success.
Location: Ti Tree, Northern Territory
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year + Superannuation
Availability: Weekends may be required
