Who we are
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport is one of the largest State Government agencies in South Australia. Our extensive portfolio means we interact with South Australians daily through the infrastructure we build and maintain, transport systems we operate, licensing and regulatory services we administer, and the safety initiatives we implement. We’re also delivering some of the most impactful projects in our State’s history.
Our engagement team, which is part of the Public Affairs Division, works with all parts of the Department to ensure the community and stakeholders are meaningfully involved and well informed in our Department’s work.
The opportunity
The Director, Engagement is responsible for all community and stakeholder engagement activities across a broad range of transport and infrastructure projects and programs. They manage a large team and work collaboratively with the marketing, communications and media teams, as well as other divisions across the Department, to ensure we deliver engagement that adds value and mitigates risk.
About you and your skills
We’re looking for a highly experienced community and stakeholder engagement professional who thrives working in a fast paced and complex work environment.
Ideally you will have extensive experience in delivering best-practice and innovative engagement across all stages of projects. You will also have a demonstrated history of working effectively in and with government to deliver better customer and community outcomes.
