Role Overview: As a General Labourer , you will work within a team of day-to-day operational and production staff which can include our aluminium workshop, concrete yards or even part of our barge/piling and/or installation crew. This is a hands-on role that requires general knowledge of using hand tools, technical expertise and excellent communication with all staff and our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of production & operational staff, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to safety protocols.
- Receive training, guidance and support with all team members to enhance your skills and performance.
- Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
- Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Stocktake & procurement of materials to ensure lean manufacturing processes are implemented.
About You: To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A current and valid Drivers Licence.
- Reliable transport to arrive to work on time.
- Past experience in a manufacturing and / or construction environment OR the drive to want to learn.
- Able to read drawings + technical knowledge of processes, materials and equipment.
- A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Able to communicate with management and fellow workers and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Trade qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Preferred but not essential).
- Forklift license and familiarity with machinery operation (Preferred but not essential).
