Description:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join the FMS Group team as a Shutdown Coordinator with either Structural or Mechanical experience.

To succeed in the role, you will have previous experience coordinating a team on a mine site. You will have a strong safety focus with the ability to mentor your team.

You will be required to supervise all activities and ensure safety standards are maintained, deadlines are met, completed accurately to specifications and to the highest quality standards.

To successful perform the role, duties will include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for day to day operations
  • Working with the team to ensure time frames and deadlines are met
  • Conduct regular Prestarts/Toolbox meetings to communicate planning and team direction
  • Responsible for ensuring all works are completed correctly and the QA process is adhered to
  • Project planning and pre-works
  • Mentoring, training and supervising employees
  • Continually seek to improve process and strive for operational efficiency

The successful applicant, will have:

  • Shovel or Dragline shutdown experience
  • Relevant Trade Qualification
  • Experience working in a heavy machinery/mine site environment
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Supervisor & G2 Certificates
  • Coal Board Medical
  • Standard 11 - Statement of Attainment
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space
  • Gas Test Atmosphere
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading small teams of tradespeople and apprentices
  • Exceptional time management, people skills and a willingness to build a cohesive team
  • Uncompromising attitude to safety
